Qingdao Beer Festival – Asia’s Oktoberfest

The 2020 Qingdao International Beer Festival – Asian Oktoberfest (2020青岛国际啤酒节) will be held Friday, July 31st, 2020 through Sunday, August 23rd, 2020.

Popular venues include: Golden Sands Beach (金沙滩) WanRen Square (万人广场), located on Qingdao West Coast (Xihai’an – Huangdao District) and Century Plaza (崂山区世纪广场-青岛), located behind the International Convention Center in Laoshan District.

Additional satellite venues are located in: Pingdu, Jimo, and Chengyang.

When is the Qingdao Beer Festival?

The festival has evolved from an annual two week international event during August into a month long Asian Oktoberfest. Festivities generally start late July and run through August.

·         Qingdao West Coast Venue – Xihai’an Golden Beach WanRen Square: July 31st – August 23rd, 2020.

What is the Qingdao Beer Festival?

A festival in honor of the nectar of the gods, beer — how great is that? Every summer, during the month of August, Qingdao (青岛) hosts the largest beer festival in Asia with international breweries from all over the globe flocking to the sandy shores of China’s Sailing City in Shandong Province. If you are a serious drinker or a casual weekend enthusiast, you’ll see the best of China’s beer drinking culture at this event.
